Rolandas Valiūnas – in the Jubilee Business Hall of Fame

Today, at the Office of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė awarded business leaders – laureates of Business Hall of Fame. It was the tenth Business Hall of Fame awards ceremony organised by Junior Achievement of Lithuania (youth economic education institution) during which three laureates were honoured: Prof. V. Bumelis, general director of UAB Sicor Biotech, R. Valiūnas, managing partner of the law firm Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai LAWIN, and A. Saladžienė, president and chairman of the board of NASDAQ OMX Vilnius.

“Today we are awarding the best of the best. This award is an appreciation of your accomplishments and merits in developing the Lithuanian economy and promoting its permanent growth. I am glad that even during hard times we can meet many vigorous and successful managers and businessmen. You managed not only to survive but also to take the highest positions. You could adapt to changing circumstances and choose proper business strategy”, said President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė in her greeting speech.

A person may be a laureate of the Business Hall of Fame only once. This prestigious award is granted to most successful business leaders for considerable contribution to the development of free market and the welfare of our society. Laureates are those who provide an appropriate role model for youth and have achieved a high level of respect within Lithuania’s business community.

Rolandas Valiūnas has deserved this award for successful management, along with other partners, of the law firm Lideika, Petrauskas, Valiūnas ir partneriai LAWIN. This law firm is commended annually by various international law directories as a top-tier law firm in the Baltic States. Last year, LAWIN and its offices in Latvia and Estonia were recognised by the prestigious British publication “The Lawyer” the Law Firm of the Year not only in the Baltic States but also in Scandinavia; this was the first such award in the history of the Lithuanian advocates community.

“The title of a Business Hall of Fame laureate is a serious and somewhat unexpected acknowledgement of our legal activity.
